I’m asking for your help during a very scary and unexpected time in my life. Due to a domestic situation, I am no longer safe residing in my family home in Boston.
I am a proud graduate of the Hingham High METCO Class of 2019, and as the first reciepient of The Superintedent Dorothy H. Galo Scholarship, I went on to the historically black university, Howard University in Washington, DC for 7 years on and off. While I was there I studied Health Science. Due to other circumstances I recently planned to move back to Boston permanently. While home for the holidays, events took a turn for the worst and the situation continued to escalate. Losing my housing so suddenly has left me without a place to stay and very few options.
I am applying locally for job opportunities, am actively seeking safe housing, and I have a valid driver’s license. The funds raised here will help secure stability and safety during this emergency transition. Specifically, donations will go toward first and second month’s rent, basic living expenses (including groceries and essential toiletries), and prescription medications related to my mental and physical health care, which are critical for my well-being during this stressful time. Your support will allow me to focus on getting back on my feet, staying healthy, and rebuilding stability without the immediate fear of housing or medication insecurity.
