Below is a picture of two young girls experiencing the joy of movement. To give the gift of mobility is to give the gift of all life's wonderful experiences.
From Competition to Cause: 26.2 Miles for Mobility
After stepping away from competitive running post-college, I still felt called to run- this time for something bigger than myself.
On October 5, 2025, I’ll be running the Twin Cities Marathon to raise awareness and support for Free Wheelchair Mission, a nonprofit that provides durable, cost-efficient wheelchairs to individuals living with disabilities in developing nations- giving the gift of mobility.
Mobility is not only a gift; it adds to a healthy way of life, not just physically but emotionally and spiritually- the whole nine yards. I want everyone to feel the joy of movement, and that is why this mission means so much to me. I thought, heck, if I am going to step in a race again, I will do it with purpose, passion, and knowing that together, with every step, we are serving someone.
Each wheelchair costs $96. I am starting with a goal of $1,000. That would change 10 lives! 26.2 miles, 10 lives, 1 race, and a whole lot of great people supporting.
Join me in this mission to create a world where everyone has access and the ability to experience the joy of movement. Your contribution, no matter how small, can help change lives. I appreciate your support!
