Hello!
My name is Victor Leblanc, and two years ago, my family and I made a big leap—we left our life in the United States and moved to Brittany in France to start a new chapter of our lives.
In 2023, after working for Lindt Chocolate in the U.S. for 6 years, I was becoming increasingly concerned about the environment. I knew I wanted to do something that aligned with my
values—to play a role in caring for the environment, to promote local exchange, and to lead a more sustainable lifestyle.
That’s when my farming journey began.
What I’m Creating
Since arriving in Brittany, I have been working to build a diverse, small-scale farm, growing over 30 varieties of vegetables, with the goal of reaching 50. Using modern market gardening techniques rooted in the principles of permaculture, I'm focused on growing food sustainably — without pesticides or harmful chemicals, and sold locally.
I’ve already begun growing crops like lettuce, garlic, and spinach, and I'm expanding every week as I prepare for my first full season this year.
The farm is located on 3.2 hectares of land, including 1.2 hectares of protected wetland, which I’m actively preserving as part of my commitment to biodiversity. I’m currently in the process of
organic certification.
Why This Matters
My goal is to farm while having the lowest possible environmental impact—and to show that it’s possible to grow food that is good for the earth, the consumer, and the farmer.
Small farms like this are part of a much-needed shift toward more resilient, local food systems.
Every seed planted is a vote for a healthier planet—and a more hopeful future.
Why I Need Your Help
Building any farm from the ground up — even a small-scale one — takes more than just time
and passion. It takes a good deal of infrastructure, tools, and other materials.
I’m raising $5000 to help cover the cost of:
• Essential tools for planting and harvesting
• Greenhouses to protect crops and extend the growing season
• Irrigation systems that use water efficiently and sustainably
These funds will allow me to scale up responsibly and bring more fresh, organic vegetables to
our local community and beyond.
How You Can Help
If you believe in good food, healthy soil, and bold dreams, I’d be grateful for your support.
Every dollar brings me one step closer to growing this farm—and sharing its harvest with the
community.
Even if you can’t donate, sharing this campaign with friends, family, or fellow food lovers makes
a big difference.
From my family to yours—thank you for helping my dream grow,
Victor Leblanc
