From Chaos to Joy: Our Wedding Renewal

First, I would like to give appreciation to ALL the comments in my latest video for the support and encouragement!

This GoFundMe is for a redo wedding/vow renewal. As you’re aware, last June 2024, I planned a wedding with the last of my savings and bought all my decor and wedding dress/uniform and alterations.

I purchased everything for the decor, venue, down to the flower girl dresses, and all of the groomsmen’s outfits, etc.

My husband and I planned on setting up everything as we did, but my sister and her boyfriend, along with a few friends, asked to tag along and, of course, help with my wedding.

They had some ideas and changes to the venue, and approaching midnight to the day of the wedding, my husband, kids, and I left my venue to go home for the night.

My sister, husband, and friends stayed later to complete their ideas. Come to find out, they stayed till 10 am and didn’t complete anything! She texted me at 11 am saying she had COVID and ghosted the whole family. None of her friends showed up, not even her boyfriend. Mind you, they were my bridesmaid and groomsmen! We planned on them playing my music on time as I walked down the aisle, fixing my dress, and playing the DJ for the dancing. Helping with handing out plates, etc. It was a disaster.

When we arrived the morning of, everything was a scattered mess. It was embarrassing having to ask the guests to help or let them see us rush to complete the ceremony decor and venue. I paid for my hair and makeup to get done, so I had to get that done, and we ran late to it, so I couldn’t even finish the photography and videography that needed to be done in between as well. I ran 2 hours late to my own ceremony, making all my guests wait all because my sister didn’t want to finish what she insisted on doing. To this day, we don’t talk, and she doesn’t care how it affected my big day that I had planned for a few years!

I would LOVE to have a redo wedding or a vow renewal this summer, so please share. If you cannot donate, that’s totally okay!

I am in the middle of a move and trying to purchase our first home. Money is tight, and I just barely finished paying off everything for my wedding that I owed. This would be a true blessing to create a better wedding memory!

or even better, our first Honeymoon!!!
