A bit about Mr. Ryan Laughy:
Originally from Canada, Mr. Laughy studied at the University of Alberta, where he received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. After serving successfully as an engineer in companies like Westwood Electric, Schlumberger, and CWA Engineers Inc., Mr. Laughy moved to the United States with his family in 2009. Settling in Idaho, then Florida, and now the great city of Chicago, Mr. Laughy continued to flourish in both his professional and private life. Now serving as Senior VP of Engineering at CIR, Mr. Laughy has had the privilege and honor of traveling internationally to every continent, except for Antarctica, lol!
Aside from his professional life, Mr. Laughy is happily married to his proud, devoted wife, Karlene, with whom he has four beautiful children: Aavyn, 12, Ashton, 15, Aly, 26, and Abby, 28. He is also blessed with having two grandchildren: Matthew and Arabella. Mr. Laughy and his family are quite the animal aficionados, as they are the proud owners of a Yorkie, a rather large pitbull, cats, and even a parrot. Mr. Laughy is kept quite busy at work and being an attentive father with his family but enjoys occasional motorcycle rides, fishing with his son, and weekly trips to Sam's Club for delicious hot dogs and pizza. The preservation of his family and his ability to perform his duties as an engineer are the cornerstones of Mr. Laughy's well-being.
Currently, Mr. Laughy was faced with a harsh reality this year when his doctors informed him that he was diagnosed with cancer. Being the resilient engineer and father figure that he is, Mr. Laughy did not allow this news to derail him from his professional and familial obligations. Mr. Laughy intends to persevere through this dilemma for the sake of his beautiful family, dutiful coworkers, and ability to create future memories and experiences. Please help us fight this burden with your charitable contributions. The proceeds given will allow Mr. Laughy to Uber to his treatments and oncology appointments in the city, as well as provide him and his family with a little economic relief during these hard times. God Bless.
