From Builder to Fighter

Hi, my name is Caitlin, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my incredible dad, Norman Brandt. Today, he’s undergoing open-heart surgery for a double bypass, after doctors found a 99% blockage in what they call the “widow maker.” We are beyond thankful this was caught just in time — his doctor said he could have passed at any moment had it gone unnoticed.

If you know my dad, you know he’s one of the kindest, most generous people you’ll ever meet. He’s spent decades building custom homes across the Texas Hill Country — especially in the Hunt area — and he’s spent his life building a strong, loving family too. To me and my sister, he’s always been our rock, our protector, and the best dad we could have ever hoped for. He’s the kind of man who helps anyone in need without thinking twice.

This surgery came as a complete shock, and now our family is facing not just a medical emergency — but also a financial one. My dad is the sole provider for our family, and he will be out of work for at least three months while he recovers. During this time, my family will need help covering:

Monthly bills and utilities

Groceries and basic needs

Gas and travel costs to and from San Antonio while he remains in the hospital
