From Broken to Beautiful: Community Project

Hi, my name is Kiley Caffrey and I am currently the Student President of my college!

While going over different ideas for my community with my peers, I remembered what happened to a local gas station after the hurricane season in 2024. Essentially, the roof caved in, windows broke, and overall the place is decrepit.

However, there is always hope for new beginnings.

After a few phone calls, I've learned a company currently holds ownership of the land where the gas station resides and will soon begin demolishing the site to make room for a new project, possibly a new gas station or convenience store.

My idea is to construct a community building, with rentable spaces for local classes, a playground and pet area, as well as re-beautifying the surrounding space where food trucks and local events can gather on the grass.

The project is a huge undertaking and will require a great deal of funding, especially if I need to have money in hand when discussing taking over ownership of the current property. I can ask for the land to be donated, but that's unlikely when dealing with a big corporation. We've all been there.

So please, donate what you can, tell your friends, and help me create and build something my local community can enjoy and use. I appreciate anything.
