Hi, I’m Michaela Mensah, a University of Cambridge graduate, and I’ve been offered a place at the Harvard Graduate School of Education to study Education Leadership, Organisations, and Entrepreneurship.
I grew up in Brixton on a council estate and I’m the first in my family to go to university. Higher education wasn’t something I had ever really seen as part of my path. It wasn’t until a teacher asked me, “why not you?” that things began to change.
Going to Cambridge showed me what education can make possible—but also how uneven access to opportunity still is. And working with students in schools has only made that more real for me.
That’s why I care about this so deeply. I want to help improve how young people experience education—how they see themselves within it, and what they believe is possible for them because of it.
This Master’s is a step towards that.
Any support, whether donating or sharing, would mean a great deal.
Thank you for taking the time to read this
