Hi, my name is Ja’Nise Medrano. I’m a proud single mom to two amazing toddlers—Nickolas and Jaylen. I juggle being a full-time student and working full-time, doing everything I can to build a better future for my boys.
Life hasn’t always been easy, but we’ve managed to keep moving forward with determination and love. Unfortunately, two weeks ago, we hit an unexpected bump in the road—our only vehicle broke down. What started as a simple repair at a local dealership turned into a bigger issue. The car overheated, the thermostat was replaced, but then it wouldn’t start. When it finally did, the interior lights and dash went haywire. After several inspections, I was told it’s no longer safe to drive long distances or at high speeds—it’s time to retire it.
Thanks to my uncle, I was able to find a great deal on a new, reliable vehicle. But I’m currently $4,500 upside down on my old car, and I’m working hard to cover as much of that as I can. I’ve tapped into all my resources, but I’m still short $2,600.
This is why I’m reaching out. I’m humbly asking for help to raise $2,600 so I can safely get my kids and myself where we need to go—school, work, daycare, and all the daily responsibilities that come with raising a family.
Any amount, no matter how small, would mean the world to us. And if you’re unable to give, simply sharing this with others would help so much.
From the bottom of my heart—thank you for reading, and thank you for caring. ❤️
— Ja’Nise, Nickolas & Jaylen
