Hi everyone — my name is Jence Dever, and alongside my incredible wife, we’ve been navigating a storm that hit faster than we ever imagined.

It started with relentless, debilitating headaches. They became so severe I could no longer work, and we had no idea what was happening inside my body. Things escalated fast. Just days before celebrating our first anniversary, I ended up in the ER — the pain was so intense I truly felt like I was dying. That visit changed everything.

Doctors found a critical mass in my brain — something no one wants to hear. In that moment, our lives flipped upside down. I was given two options:

1. Stay overnight and undergo emergency surgery the next morning.

2. Take a day to process everything and meet with a neurosurgeon at the hospital.

Overwhelmed and anxious, I chose the second option, trying to find peace in the middle of chaos.

As we were coming to terms with this life-changing diagnosis. We went from newlywed joy to medical crisis, heartbreak, and survival mode.

I haven’t been able to work, and my wife has taken on everything — financially, emotionally, physically. She's been the rock of our home, but the stress of bills, loans, and medical expenses is taking a real toll.
