From Barrow to Bethany - The Library Project
Donation protected
We have set up this GoFundMe page to help raise the remaining £4,000 needed to build a library block for a new girls' secondary school at The Bethany Project in Tanzania. As a school, we are proud to be supporting this inspiring initiative. Our Headteacher, Nicola, and Deputy Head, Helen, are currently visiting and teaching at the project, and have seen first-hand the unbelievable positive impact it is having. The vision to build a girls' secondary school on the site will provide a safe and empowering environment for girls, free from barriers such as poverty, early marriage, and unwanted pregnancy. We believe that education is the key to changing lives, and reading is at the heart of lifelong learning—it opens doors, sparks imagination, and builds confidence and independence. With £7,000 already raised, we’re asking our community to help us raise the final £4,000 over the next year so that we can fund the library block and give these girls the resources they deserve. Every contribution, big or small, will make a real and lasting difference.
