I rescued one pregnant stray… and somehow ended up with five cats!!
After moving into our home, we unfortunately discovered a colony of uncared-for stray cats living in our yard.
One of them — Lilly — trusted me enough to come inside and safely give birth to her kitten, Jasmine. We loved them, and they trusted us, so we’ve adopted them both.
Later, another stray I had bonded with, Pepper, returned… with four kittens.
They were so adorable and I just couldn’t turn them away, so I brought them inside intending to socialize and adopt them all out.
Over a year later:
✔️ Two kittens have been successfully adopted!!
❤️Pepper and her two remaining kittens (Binx & Smudge) are still with us
I’ve realized that they’re very closely bonded and not suited for indoor life — but would absolutely thrive as Working/Barn Cats.
Unfortunately, after an escape led to fleas and worms, all five cats now need medical care before they can move forward.
I’m raising funds to cover:
• Flea & worm treatment
• Vaccines
• Smudge’s spay surgery (only one left!)
• Microchips
• Safe carriers
My goal is to place Pepper, Binx, & Smudge together in a loving barn home — while restoring health and peace for my original two cats.
Thank you for helping me give these rescues the future they deserve ❤️
