The purpose of this fundraiser is to help my daughter, who happens to be on the autism spectrum secure an apartment in LA in order to pursue her desire to work at one of the Animation Studios in that area of the country. She recently graduated from Otis College of Art and Design where she earned a BFA in Animation. This achievement was something that I was told in her earlier years would not be possible because of her learning disabilities, but because of my belief in God I knew that they were wrong. She has overcome every obstacle that has been in her way. She was never taught by her father or myself that she wouldn’t be able to do the things she wanted to do. We have always encouraged her to go after her dream, whatever it was. Since she was a little girl, she has had dreams of becoming a character designer. She has been pursuing her dream career since she picked up the crayons and pencils. Now, her desire is to live and work in Los Angeles. I want that for her as well because she has just been thriving in the 4 years since being there. At this time she is back in Philadelphia. Though she enjoys being close to our family she doesn’t feel the same energy and support that comes with her life as an Artist in LA. There she is surrounded by peers who are pursuing a career in the art field as well which helps to fuel and inspire her.

By setting up this fundraiser, I’m hoping to raise enough money for her to be able to have her first six months rent. they should give her enough time to find a job or two she need to. If you choose to support my daughter by giving, your donations will not be in vain. She is focused and driven, and has spent her entire life studying every aspect of this art that she loves. God has placed in her a great talent, and she is dedicated to achieving her goals. I want her to have a good start on her new life.
