Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

Our family’s story is one of both immense joy and unimaginable loss. Just a month ago, we welcomed our precious baby into the world, a moment that should have been filled with nothing but happiness. But life had other plans. Our little one was born early and stopped breathing right after birth. He was rushed to the NICU, where we fought alongside him as he struggled to survive. Those first days were a blur of fear, hope, and prayers as we clung to the belief that he would pull through.

Just as we began to see signs of progress in his recovery, the unthinkable happened. The LA fires swept through our community. In the chaos, we had no time to return home to gather any of our belongings. We left with nothing but the clothes on our backs and the overwhelming worry for our newborn’s health.

The home we had just moved into a month prior—a place we had carefully prepared for our baby’s arrival—was gone. Every crib, every onesie, every cherished item we had lovingly set up for our little one was lost. We returned from the hospital with our fragile baby, only to find that we had no home to return to.

Now, we are faced with the daunting task of rebuilding our lives from scratch while caring for a newborn who has already endured so much in his first weeks of life. The emotional toll has been overwhelming. We are exhausted, heartbroken, and yet determined to create a safe and peaceful environment for our child to grow and thrive.
