From Ashes to Healing: Help Ryanne Rebuild Her Future.

Hi, my name is Johana Aviles, a resident of Pasadena, California and I’m starting this fundraiser on behalf of one of the strongest, most compassionate people I know, Ryanne Arbet.

Ryanne is a college freshman from Altadena, California studying Neuroscience and Film at the American University with dreams of becoming a neurosurgeon. A goal rooted in her desire to care for and protect her community. She’s fiercely determined, deeply thoughtful, and always puts others first. But right now, she needs us to show up for her.

Ryanne and her family recently lost their home in the Eaton Canyon Fire that devastated parts of Altadena. Her family lived in their home for over 25 years, a space full of memories, warmth, and love. In just moments, they were forced to evacuate with only essentials, and soon after, learned they had lost everything.

Ryanne’s mom is a beloved fifth-grade teacher. Her grandmother is a respected professor. This is a family deeply rooted in education, community, and service, and now, they are navigating the unimaginable challenge of starting over.

Despite the loss, Ryanne remains committed to her future. She is raising funds for tuition and program costs for her MA certification so she can begin working clinically in a hospital, college expenses for the upcoming semester, and educational materials, transportation, and transitional support as her family rebuilds.

The goal is to raise $7,000 to fully support her next steps. Every dollar will go directly toward rebuilding Ryanne’s academic and medical journey, and helping her regain the stability she needs to move forward.

Ryanne is more than a student; she is a light in her family, a leader in her community, and a future doctor who will one day care for others in their moments of crisis, just as she is experiencing now.
