From Argentina to South Africa: Investing in a Young Leader
Goal: $1,850 USD
Deadline: July 17
At just 24 years old, Gonzalo has already dedicated years of his life to mentoring and serving young people through sports.
Since 2021, he has been serving with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and is actively involved with ReadySetGO, a sports ministry that uses athletics to build character, develop healthy relationships, share the love of Jesus, and create positive change in communities. What began through his participation in the Multiply School became a clear calling: to use sports as a tool to mentor, disciple, and inspire the next generation.
Whether leading soccer practices, mentoring young athletes, or serving in community sports programs, Gonzalo has consistently invested in helping children and youth grow both on and off the field. Through sports, he teaches discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and values that help young people build strong foundations for their future.
Over the past several years, he has served in ministry programs both inside and outside Argentina, witnessing firsthand how sports can break barriers, build trust, and open doors to share hope, purpose, and faith with young people and their families.
Today, Gonzalo has been given an extraordinary opportunity.
He has been accepted into the International Sports Leadership School (ISLS) in South Africa, a three-month leadership and sports ministry program that equips leaders to create lasting impact through sports in communities around the world.
This is not an open-enrollment program. Each year, only a select group of young leaders and coaches from around the world are accepted through a rigorous application process. Candidates are evaluated on their leadership potential, character, commitment to service, and passion for impacting others through sports.
Gonzalo was selected because of his proven dedication, servant leadership, and commitment to investing in the lives of young people.
A Unique Opportunity
The full cost of the program is approximately $8,000 USD.
Recognizing Gonzalo's commitment and potential, the organization awarded him a significant scholarship that covers most of the program cost. In addition, generous supporters have already helped fund his international airfare.
Because of this incredible support, only $1,850 USD remains to be raised before July 17 for Gonzalo to participate in this life-changing training opportunity.
The majority of the journey has already been made possible. This final amount will help bridge the gap and allow him to take full advantage of an opportunity that will strengthen his ability to serve young people for years to come.
Why This Matters
The International Sports Leadership School prepares leaders to serve in schools, academies, churches, clubs, and community programs through sports.
Participants receive training in:
• Leadership development
• Biblical foundations for ministry
• Sports coaching and mentoring
• Youth discipleship
• Community outreach and impact
• Character and servant leadership
The goal is not simply to train better coaches, but to equip leaders who can influence lives, strengthen communities, and invest in future generations.
After completing the program, Gonzalo will return better equipped to continue mentoring youth, developing leaders, and using sports as a powerful tool to bring hope, purpose, and positive change to the lives of others.
How You Can Help
Gonzalo is not asking others to invest in a dream that might happen someday. He is already serving.
Every week, he invests his time, energy, and talents into mentoring young people, building relationships through sports, and helping others develop character, confidence, and faith.
Your support will help equip him to do that even more effectively in the years ahead.
Every contribution, regardless of size, helps move Gonzalo one step closer to this opportunity.
Thank you for considering a gift, sharing this campaign, and being part of Gonzalo's journey.
Will you help Gonzalo reach South Africa and continue impacting young lives through sports and faith?
