When I was little, I thought my mother’s seizures were like storms. They were loud, frightening, and impossible to predict. I learned early on that when the storm came, I had to be the calm. I would kneel beside her, steady her head, count the seconds, and whisper that she was safe. I was just a child trying to hold back a world that felt too big for my small hands.
What began as a necessity grew into a profound calling. My experience caring for my mother led me to healthcare training at Cascadia Tech Academy where I earned certifications in dementia and mental health care. Those classes confirmed what I have known since I was young: my purpose is to care for others in their most vulnerable moments.
I have been accepted to George Fox University to pursue my Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
I am raising $30,000 to help cover the significant costs of tuition, clinical fees, and medical supplies. George Fox is known for preparing nurses who lead with both skill and compassion, which are values I have practiced my entire life.
Your support will help me move from my mother’s bedside to a professional medical setting where I can provide that same steady hand and calm voice to every patient in my care. Any contribution, no matter the size, helps me turn this lifelong mission into a reality.
