My name is Hossam Zaqout, from Gaza City. Before the war, I owned one of the most beautiful barber shops in the Gaza Strip. My salon had modern décor and professional equipment, and I was proud to work for myself and provide for my family through the profession I love.
After the war, everything changed. My barber shop was completely destroyed, and both my home and my family’s home were also lost. Today, I live in a tent with my children under extremely difficult conditions after losing everything we built over many years.
Despite everything, I am trying to continue working. However, I am currently working from a small, worn-out tent that is not suitable for me or for my customers. I also lost most of my barber tools and equipment.
I am hoping for your support to help me rebuild a small barber shop where I can work with dignity again and support my children.
You can see the difference between my destroyed salon and the worn-out tent where I now work. Any support, no matter how small, can make a real difference in my life and the life of my children.

اسمي حسام زقوت، من مدينة غزة. قبل الحرب كنت أملك واحداً من أجمل صالونات الحلاقة في قطاع غزة. كان الصالون مجهزاً بأحدث الديكورات والمعدات، وكنت أعمل بجهدي وأعيش بكرامة من عملي الذي أحببته.
لكن بعد الحرب تغيّر كل شيء. تم تدمير صالوني بالكامل، كما دُمّر بيتي وبيت عائلتي. اليوم أعيش مع أطفالي في خيمة في ظروف صعبة جداً، بعد أن فقدنا كل ما بنيناه خلال سنوات من العمل.
حاولت أن أستمر في عملي رغم كل شيء، لكنني الآن أعمل في خيمة بسيطة لا تليق بي ولا بزبائني، ولا تملك أبسط الإمكانيات. كما أنني فقدت معظم أدوات الحلاقة والمعدات التي كنت أعتمد عليها في عملي.
أتطلع إلى دعمكم ومساعدتكم لأتمكن من إعادة بناء صالون حلاقة بسيط يليق بي وبزبائني، ويمنحني فرصة للوقوف على قدمي من جديد وإعالة أطفالي بكرامة.
