From Gaza to Canada, Family Hope After Crisis
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Supporters,
I am Nariman, a Palestinian resident in Canada, urgently seeking assistance for my 6-member family, amidst the profound challenges arising from the ongoing Genocide in Gaza. We have endured significant losses, including the destruction of our home, the loss of my beloved brother Mohammed, and the devastation of businesses and educational institutions.

In this photo my beloved brother Mohammed who passed away on 19th October 2023, leaving his wife and a two-year-child.

Here is a brief introduction to each member of my family and their situation:
My Father, Khalid (65 years old):
Khalid is a retired man who worked tirelessly to ensure his children received a good education and a brighter future. Through his hard work, he managed to build a three-apartment building intended for rental income to support the family post-retirement. Unfortunately, the building sustained significant damage and requires extensive repairs before it can generate any income again, leaving him without any financial support.
My Mother, Hanan (54 years old):
Hanan is a dedicated mother who has always been the backbone of our family. She supported us by working in embroidery and cooking food and sweets for sale. Her efforts have been crucial in keeping our family going.

Badereldeen (28 years old):
Badereldeen is a professional biomedical engineer. He was planning his engagement before October 7th. With extensive training from international medical device companies, he is proficient in English, German, and Turkish, and had secured a master's scholarship last October. Unfortunately, due to insufficient funds to pay the Rafah Crossing fees, he lost this opportunity.

Nada (25 years old):
Nada is in her last semester of studying English Translation. She aspired to become a translator, but her university was destroyed. Despite the challenges, she remains a positive and helpful person, always willing to lend a hand.

Ahmed (22 years old):
Ahmed is in his final year of studying digital media at university and had secured a job as a graphic designer even before graduating. He dreams of becoming a YouTube content creator, a passion he has pursued diligently.

Eman (19 years old):
Eman is the youngest member of our family. She had just begun her university studies in programming before the war erupted, disrupting her education and her dreams.

Why We Need Your Help:
Destroyed Homes: Our family lost our home, forcing us to seek shelter in challenging conditions.
Lost Jobs: My brother, Bader lost his job as a biomedical engineer as the company he was working at was destroyed and could not pay their salaries anymore, and my brother Ahmed lost his job as the founder of the company was killed in this Genocide.
Education Disrupted: My two sisters Nada and Eman had their universities destroyed, interrupting their education and dreams for a better future.
Tragic Loss: We tragically lost my brother Mohammed during this conflict, leaving his wife and child without any support.
Our Aspiration:
Despite these hardships, we aspire to rebuild our lives in Canada, under the new immigration measures to reunite family members and start a new life in Canada. Your support will be instrumental in helping us bring our family to safety and support them during the crucial initial months in Canada.
How You Can Help:
Please consider contributing to our GoFundMe campaign. Your generosity will not only help us reunite with our family members in Canada but will also provide the necessary support to rebuild our lives after the devastation we have endured.
Future Contributions:
Once settled in Canada, we are optimistic that all family members will be able to find meaningful employment and contribute positively to the community. My father, a skilled tailor, and my mother, proficient in handmade embroidery, are eager to share their talents. Bader, an experienced biomedical engineer, and Ahmed, a professional graphic designer, are committed to applying their skills to contribute to their new community. Your support will not only help us rebuild our lives but will also enable us to give back to the community that welcomes us.
Sharing is Caring:
If you are unable to contribute financially, please consider sharing this campaign with your network. Every share brings us one step closer to reaching our goal.
Breakdown of Expenses:
The funds raised will cover the crossing fees which will paid to Hala office in Cairo. Here’s a cost breakdown in US dollars:
$5000 x 6 to evacuate Khalid, Hanan, Badereldeen, Nada, Ahmed, Eman = 30,000 USD
The total in USD would be $30,000 which rounds up to $41,000 in Canadian dollars.
Any extra funds raised will be used to support the family in their initial months in Canada until they are able to secure jobs in Canada.
Your generosity will not only facilitate their safe journey but will also contribute to their successful integration into Canadian life. Join us on this journey from crisis to hope, and help us raise $41,000 to bring my family to safety and support their first months in Canada.
