Fritz the Shiba Mix Emergency Surgery
Donation protected
Fritz is our Shiba Inu/Chihuahua mix rescue dog that has been our companion for 11 years. When we adopted him he had been given up and on death row three times before we took him in. He has always been a fighter.
But today we found out that he needs emergency gall bladder surgery. His gall bladder ruptured and he needed an immediate operation to remove it.
He is the most intelligent dog I have ever met, but he is also very stoic and hides when he is in pain. Also within the past year he had lost his sight, so all clues that something was wrong were either being slyly hidden or chalked up to getting used to his blindness.
This cost was completely unexpected for us, in fact we found out moments before we had to go onstage and perform a comedy Christmas show. It has been a rollercoaster of a time.
We're embarrassed to ask for any help, but this was like a bomb going off in our lives and Fritz means everything to us. He's part of the family and we want to see him be a survivor again.
Thank you so much
