Hello, and Greetings - My name is Manny Aschemeyer, and I'm starting a GoFundMe page to help with the funeral and last expenses for my nephew, Fritz Aschemeyer - who died suddenly and unexpectedly from apparent cardiac arrest at age 46. He was all set to fly from Maryland to California next month to be with me and our family out here - and to celebrate our two birthdays together (mine is August 12th and his was August 25th). Fritz was developmentally challenged due to apparent brain damage caused by loss of oxygen during childbirth. But he nonetheless became a very productive and active citizen through support programs at home, in the community, and at church. In his early life, Fritz was very active in pursuit of his art work - which he attained from his grandfather, the senior "Fritz" (my German-born father, and "OPA" to the younger Fritz). "OPA Fritz" was a skilled & talented artist in various mediums: pen & ink, oils, watercolors, charcoal, stencil & pounce work, gold-leafing, etc.) Fritz was a dedicated, born-again Christian, and faithfully attended chinch and also participated in Bible study classes & home gatherings. For most of his adult life, he was under SSI disability programs, the latest being the "Go-Getters" program on the eastern shore of Maryland in Salisbury. Hence, there are no assigned death benefits to handle any funeral & last expenses. Fritz's sister, and her husband Adam Filbert, are making all the final arrangements; but their financial resources are limited. I will be assisting financially from out here in California as well. But any and all contributions will be greatly appreciated to help offset these final expenses on our beloved Fritz. Thanks for your compassion and favorable considerations. God Bless!
