A Small Business Fighting to Survive Main Street Construction
My name is Sumego Thompson, and I’m the proud owner of Nevaeh Studio Salon/Barbershop and Nevaeh Studios Cosmetology & Barber Institute, located on Main Street in Frisco, Texas.
For over 10 years, I’ve poured my heart into serving this community, helping people look and feel their best while giving back through fundraisers, free back-to-school haircuts, school supplies, and much more. In December 2024, I followed my dream and opened a beauty school to empower the next generation of barbers and cosmetologists.
But now, everything I’ve built is at risk. Ongoing construction on Main Street in Frisco, Texas, has devastated my business:
- No sidewalk access in front of the salon
- Limited parking shared with multiple businesses
- Confusing detours that have driven away foot traffic
- No budget left for advertising due to lost revenue
Business has slowed to a near standstill. I’m doing everything I can to keep going, but I’ve fallen behind on rent and bills and am at serious risk of losing both the salon and the school.
I’m asking for your help to keep Nevaeh Studios alive. Your donation will go toward:
- Rent and utilities
- Daily operational expenses
- Support for students and staff
- A future marketing push once we stabilize
