Frilly’s 100-Length Challenge: Supporting Thomas Harvey
Donation protected
This summer, my daughter Frilly is diving into a personal challenge — swimming 100 lengths of our local pool — to raise funds for a truly inspiring young man: Thomas Harvey.
Thomas isn’t just a talented athlete. At just 16 years old, he’s made history by being selected to represent Great Britain at the 25th Deaflympics in Tokyo this November. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity — and it’s a huge achievement not only for Thomas, but for the entire Deaf community and young swimmers across the UK.
But here’s the catch: like many athletes selected for the Deaflympics, Thomas has to raise the money himself to cover travel, kit, coaching and accommodation. The target? Around £5,000. That’s where we come in.
Frilly wanted to do something that pushed her, just like Thomas has pushed himself every day in training. So, she’s swimming 100 lengths to honour the 100th year of Deaflympics!
She believes sport should be accessible for everyone, and no young person should miss out on the international stage because of money.
Thomas will be competing in multiple swimming events (we’ll update this page when they’re confirmed!) — and Frilly will be cheering him on every stroke of the way. https://www.deaflympics.com/sports/sw
If you’re able to support, we’d be incredibly grateful. Every pound brings Thomas closer to Tokyo — and shows Frilly that her efforts matter. Whether it’s £2 or £20, you’re part of something powerful!
We’ll keep posting updates, videos, and maybe even a few soggy selfies from poolside! ♀️
Thank you so much for your kindness —
Frilly, Thomas, and all of us cheering from the sidelines ❤️
