100 years ago, Glencoe residents had a vision to preserve an idyllic green space and establish within it a top-tier public golf course. Nearly a century later, the Glencoe Golf Club stands as one of the area’s most unique and affordable amenities – an extraordinary public space, a nature sanctuary, and an alluring golf experience open to all.

 

 

Nestled on 126 beautiful acres adjoining the Chicago Botanic Garden, the Glencoe Golf Club offers a top tier course that rivals the best in the area. With a dedicated staff and a team of talented instructors, and as one of very few public golf clubs in the area, Golf Club stands apart from the rest with its beauty, accessibility, and its unique status as a certified Audubon Cooperative and as a Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary. Each of these components makes Glencoe Golf Club a vital pillar of the community, and an offering that we must work together to preserve, enhance, and protect.

 

 

 

 

While the Glencoe Golf Club has served its guests and the community well for the last 100 years, it is important to note that despite being a public course, the Glencoe Golf Club receives no property tax or park district funding, and relies solely on its operating revenue to provide for all staffing, maintenance and improvements. To date, careful monitoring of club expenses and wise investing of club earnings has provided more than $3.5M in improvements, and has ensured a financially sound, stable, and growing club.

 

As we look ahead to our next 100 years, the Glencoe Golf Club looks forward to continuing to provide our patrons with top tier golf experiences, and to creating an exciting new venue dedicated to enhancing community life for generations to come.

 

 

 

 

With your help, the Glencoe Golf Club is ready to embark on a vibrant revitalization project designed to meet the needs of our communities! Without closing our course, our century-old, antiquated clubhouse will be replaced with a state-of-the-art facility offering meeting/conference rooms, large event venue/golf outing space, indoor teaching academy, enhanced golf shop, regulation-size croquet court, and a year-round full-service bar and restaurant with a scenic terrace deck overlooking the course!

 

 

 

Each element of the Glencoe Golf Club’s redevelopment has been studied and carefully crafted to meet evolving needs. When polled, 96% of area residents desired an enhanced quality of local amenities; 73% appealed for an increase in dining options; 74% emphasized the importance of green space; more than 48% desired additional event space. The Glencoe Golf Club’s project provides the answer for each request and more! Each enhancement helps ensure a more vibrant and interconnected community, and an idyllic place to golf, gather, celebrate and enjoy nature, friends, and family in a warm, welcoming, local spot.
