Presumably, you have arrived at this campaign via Antonia's Caring Bridge page, and have already read the story and details of her cancer diagnosis and treatment... thank you for clicking through to help Antonia and her family get through this time with as much ease and support as possible!

It is difficult to know exactly what the total expense of this journey will be, and yet we know that it will be a hefty sum. As many of you can appreciate, the path to conquering cancer can include various and sundry expenses that pile up quickly. Antonia is committed to nailing this sucker by way of a two-pronged attack - both conventional and naturopathic. It has been shown time and again that an integrative approach to cancer renders the best results. Unfortunately, insurance companies have yet to read that memo.

At present, the primary foreseeable out-of-pocket expenditures will be the following: supplements and out-of-network naturopathic oncologist; a vegan cook who is preparing and boxing up food for Antonia so she can maintain her anti-cancer diet while she is busy cooking regular meals for the rest of the family; a whole-house water filter to ensure she is drinking bacteria and chemical-free water; a babysitter for daytime and a night nurse for nighttime during post-chemo weeks when Antonia is not feeling well and Shawn has to go to work at the crack of dawn. Since Shawn will also have to take some unpaid leave over these next months, these additional expenses will be particularly burdensome.

Despite the fact that at this point we are looking (optimistically) into the unknown, we have settled on an arbitrary goal of $30,000 to get this beloved family through the next year. Anything that you can give will be greatly appreciated- no amount is too small.
