Friends rallying for Yong.

Please join us in rallying for our dear friend Yong who is battling a sudden illness and is currently unable to work. For those of you who don't have the pleasure of knowing her, Yong is a mother, a nurse, a successful nursing facility administrator, a caregiver, and an educator. More than that, she is one of the most genuine and kind people I have ever known. She is selfless, dedicated, honest, brave, and fiercely independent.

Yong came to this country from Korea in her teens not knowing anyone or knowing a word of English. She never once let that stop her. Instead, she worked hard and has far-surpassed any goals she has set. Initially she worked in a factory while going to school to learn English and earn an education, eventually obtaining her BSN in Nursing and certification in Long-Term Health Care Administration. She successfully manages an entire building of patients and staff, and does it all with poise, grace, and compassion.

Yong has worked her way from the ground up, has prided herself on never having to rely on anyone else, and has never lost sight of who she is and where she came from. Even in the midst of her current health challenges, she does not complain and continues to put on a brave face. She would never ask for help so I am humbly asking on her behalf. During her current health challenges, Yong has undergone a series of medical procedures and surgeries and still has more ahead. While she is out of work, I am hoping you would find it in your heart to kindly contribute to this fund to help offset some of her expenses. Anything would be greatly appreciated and helpful.
