"When it Rain's it Pours"
This GoFundMe is for one of my closest, and oldest, friends and allies. She has been there for, not only myself, but indeed,for many,in their darkest moments, and in their times of need. Her kindness, compassion and generosity for others reaches far and wide, and she is one of the most deeply caring people I have ever known. In short, if you're in need of a friend, it's suffice to say that she'll be there for you, without hesitation.
So, it's time to turn the tables. Right now, she is in desperate need of that kindness, compassion and generosity, that she so willingly gives to others.
I chose the phrase “When it rain's, it pours” for good reason. Tori has faced incredible hardship in both the year of 2019, and the start of 2020 This is on top of health issues that already have a significant impact on her day to day life. Tori is a medical mute. This means she does not have the physical attributes that would allow her to talk. Instead, she relies upon things like her tablet, and sign language, to be able to communicate with others. Given the fact that many are unable to understand or use sign language, she relies heavily on her tablet and its software to be able to communicate with others.
She has faced more hardship than most, over the past year, and indeed, throughout her life, but her fierce spirit and kick ass determination shine through, despite it all.
At the start of this year, whilst leaving a pantomime, her handbag was stolen by moped muggers. It contained her tablet – which she uses to communicate with others, her mobile phone and her bank cards (amongst other things.) Last year, the tires and saddle of her motorbike were slashed, and she was assaulted in a random attack. I could go on, but I think you get the point. The last year has been incredibly unfair and unjust towards her, and has left her in financial hardship, leaving her with no choice but to sell some of her most treasured possessions.
So... I want to shine a little big of light into her 2020, and help to repay some of the generosity and kindness she show's to other's with this GoFundMe page, but... I can't do it alone. I am, therefore, asking for your help with donations which will go towards paying to replace and/or restore the property she has had stolen and/or vandalised in the last year. In particular, it will help to replace the vital tools that enable her to communicate.
Any and all donations are greatly received, no matter how large or small.
Let's rally together, and repay our friend, Tori, the love and kindness she so freely offer's to others.
