my name is Greg Fitzgerald and this is my best friend I got him from a licensed breeder as well as I got his brother from the previous litter unfortunately he was poisoned at the dog park at 3 months old, Todd is now all we have left the the sudden surprise of diagnosis has left me lost and terrified for my friend my baby my partner any an all raise will aid him in her surgery , care and recovery

Our sweet Bernese Mountain Dog, Todd, is only 4 years old and he urgently needs surgery. Recently, Todd developed a growth that has worried his veterinary team. Dr. Azam has provided us with a differential diagnosis list — meaning it could be one of several conditions based on Todd’s exams and cytology (cell samples). The possibilities include:

• Apocrine gland anal sac adenocarcinoma (a type of cancer)

• Apocrine gland anal sac adenoma (a growth, not always cancerous)

• Another benign (non-cancerous) mass

• Some other form of tumour

• A hematoma possibly related to Von Willebrand Disease (vWD, a bleeding disorder)

Unfortunately, it’s impossible to know for sure without a biopsy or complete removal of the mass. The surgery is urgent and necessary to give Todd the best chance at a healthy future.
