Friends of Sherri Fasci

Hello, my name is Becky Joiner. And I am wanting to honor Sherri Fasci, Landmark Christian School legend. Sherri has tirelessly donated her tutoring services to students at Landmark, and students she meets 'along the way.' Sherri emulates Christ in everything she does. She is a true imitator of Jesus. 

In the past few years she has helped (been his main caregiver) her husband fight cancer. They have made trips to MD Anderson, shared Christ along their journey, and fought a valiant war against esophagal cancer. Sherri always armed with a research binder; kept track of the latest research and leading doctors in the field of Adriel's cancer. Anyone that knows Sherri, knows that she is a bulldog and research nerd! Sherri single-handedly kept Adriel going. She and Adriel never gave up. They fought back with prayer and with a united front... unseen in marriages today. It has been a long battle and an expensive road.

All the time Sherri: kept driving Landmark buses, tutoring kids, and helping our Chinese students adjust to the rigor of Landmark. Sherri never gives up on a kid. She is the 'Obi-Won Kenobi' for them. The Force in her is what every student needs to be a successful Jedi Knight. All teachers could learn a lesson from Sherri. She IS the Jedi Master. She goes to research to assist her.... I am most humbled by her example. She IS the reason my son is who he is, as a person, and student.

When I discovered that Adriel had been moved to 'palliative care' and that Sherri was trying to navigate insurmountable medical bills... I knew it was time to call for help! After ALL she has done for our community? It is time to give back. To Sherri. To Adriel. To her family. It is my hope that like George Bailey in the movie, It's a Wonderful Life, Sherri will find (no one is alone if they have friends). Please consider giving to Sherri in her hour of need. Let's be the hands and feet of Jesus.
