Friends,
I ask that you join me in helping to raise funds to support the memory and family of Mr. Shaun Lawton.
Ms. Loretta, Tanya, Shannon, Shaun, Antione and Naima were family to my family and to many others in our building at 2660 8th Avenue (now Frederick Douglass Blvd.). Shannon, Shawn and (especially) Antione were often in our apartment, or we were in theirs. Antione and I have been best friends - actually BROTHERS - since the day we met over 40 years ago.
While Ms. Loretta (their mother), and Shannon left us some time ago, the Lawton family is now faced with the tragic passing of Shaun who was affectionately known as "Flav" in the neighborhood.
The family did not ask me to do this. I am doing this of my own free will and accord. Would you be kind enough to help me raise a goal of $3000.00 which will be used to cover funeral expenses, and other costs related to Shaun's memory? Please find it in your heart to help assist. We need to raise funds no later than Wednesday, November 28th.
