Michael was just diagnosed with leukemia this past week after becoming extremely ill from an infection.

He spent a week in a pediatric ICU at a hospital an hour away from his home.   Now he is residing at this hospital in order to receive chemotherapy, which can last many weeks.

Michael's mother was 40 weeks pregnant when the news hit.  Because she was staying 24-7 with Michael, she had to make arrangements at Michael's hospital for her delivery.

This week, she had a c-section at this hospital and delivered a healthy baby girl.

While Michael and his mother are recovering at the hospital as patients, their family also has to care for Michael's older brother at home.
