We successfully raised over $2000. last Fall and Spring to purchase trees, shrubs, cages, burlap, hoses, and equipment. We have already used those funds and planted over 75 native trees. We now need more money to support our newest campaign. We currently wish to raise an additional $500 to support our new effort to buy native wildflowers, grasses and shrubs to place at Lime Ridge in Concord. We also plan to create a pollinator garden near the community building. We will be planting the flowers in late February and into March. The date will be announced soon. Wildflowers provide food and shelter and egg-laying sites for beneficial insects. We also plan to repair some of the tree cages. All funds go toward this effort.
