Hello Friends of LeeAnn! As you may have heard, LeeAnn has had some recent medical complications.
This is from her sister, Julie:
"LeeAnn Neal is slowly but steadily improving. She had a wound vacuum placed on Saturday (11/5). This is going to help her would heal and prevent infection and further ...pockets from forming in her abdomen that could fill with fluid. The wound has a seal similar to a vacuum freezer wrap. (I'm sure you'll get an entertaining and detailed accounting of LeeAnn's ICU experience that's sure not to dissapoint when she's a little better.) There's a hose attached to a pump that works on removing fluid from the wound. She get's to take this home with her and have it for about 3 months.
She's had a fever spike at night a couple of times but thankfully tylenol brought it down.
She's been offline for the most part due to weakness and poor internet connection as well as being tethered to a lot of equipment.
Probably not a bad thing considering she's in ICU! The Pioneer of the Pioneer is a determined one, and thank God for that!
I've been letting her know a lot of you out there care a lot about her and she appreciates the encouragement and kind remarks! (Her ballot has been safely deposited)
Thanks!"
We created the "Oh, for the love of LeeAnn!" page to help ease any financial concerns that are surely headed her way. LeeAnn is an amazing resource in our community - both as a person as well as the founder of Tillamook County Pioneer, where so many of us access local news and events!
Please consider a dontation......and Share! Share! Share! this page!
Thank you so much!
