Kyle recently went through a very complicated kidney transplant. He is incredibly humbled and thankful for this gift.
Kyle has PKD. It’s a horrible disease. His two diseased kidneys, normally the size of a fist, for years have taken over his entire abdomen. Organs that normally weigh a few ounces were a combined total of 23 pounds.
Kyle had a nephrectomy of a 10-lb kidney DURING the time of his transplant. The surgeon does not normally do this because of the trauma on the body. This was an extreme case. Then, 13 days later, he had his other 13-lb kidney removed because it was causing his new kidney to reject.
Kyle’s medical regime is intense. Things are looking positive, but it’s an incredibly tough day-by-day journey, for him and his family. He has been readmitted several times.
As I mentioned, Kyle is a very humble and private person. I humbly asked for permission to set up this account. Even with good health insurance, his medical bills are mounting, and he faces significant time off work.
Kyle requires 24/7 care, which his loving family happily provides. He has one of the most amazing families I know—beautiful girlfriend, parents, and extended family and friends who are living angels.
