On November 22nd, Jim Milne’s life changed in an instant. While driving, Jim suffered a sudden stroke that left him paralyzed on his right side and caused a serious car accident. Miraculously, both Jim and his wife Amy survived, but the challenges they now face are immense. Jim is currently in Spokane, working tirelessly through intensive physical therapy and speech rehabilitation, determined to regain as much independence as possible.

Jim and Amy’s journey ahead is filled with uncertainty and urgent needs. Insurance does not cover the cost of ambulance travel between Richland and Spokane, which is essential for Jim’s ongoing care. Their car insurance was not enough to pay off the remaining loan, leaving them with a balance owed to the finance company. Their backup vehicle, a 2014 Ford Fusion, is too low for Jim to safely enter and exit, so they urgently need a vehicle that can accommodate Jim’s mobility needs, such as an SUV or a car with a lift. At home, Jim will need a ramp with handrails for his wheelchair and a remodeled shower equipped with handrails and grab bars to ensure his safety and comfort.

This GoFundMe campaign is dedicated to helping Jim and Amy cover these urgent needs: paying off the car loan, securing a suitable vehicle, building a wheelchair ramp, and remodeling their shower. If you have construction skills or a suitable vehicle to lend, your help would make a huge difference. Every act of kindness counts. Thank you for considering a donation or offering your support in any way you can.
