Jack Harth sustained severe injuries when he was hit by an unlicensed and uninsured motorist while riding his motorcycle on Sunday, February 3. Since that time, Jack has endured five major surgical sessions and remains in the surgical ICU at UMMC with Michelle, Chris, and other family members at his side. While he has made significant progress, he will not regain use of his right eye and has substantial rehabilitation in the weeks, months, and potentially years ahead.
We know that the medical bills and associated costs beyond what insurance will cover will be burdensome, so our hope is that those of us who know and love Jack and his family will support him through gifts that can be used to pay medical costs and expenses associated with any medical and rehabilitative work he may require.
While the names on this effort are from parents of members of the St. Andrew's Class of 2016, we know that the Harths have touched countless lives through their work at the school and in the community. We encourage you to share this with parents from other classes or those outside of the immediate St. Andrew's school community who will also find it in their hearts to support Jack's medical, rehabilitative, and associated needs.
If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact Kellye Montjoy. Thank you for your thoughtful consideration of this request for Jack and for helping make a positive impact in the most challenging time of his life.
