Friends of Higashihara Park Fundraiser

The Lions Club of Kona Community Foundation has been an unofficial caretaker of the Higashihara Park, assisting in weeding, and landscaping, as well as applying waterproofing to the vast wooden fencing and play equipment.

Over the years, the wooden fencing and play equipment have been deteriorating, so the Lions Club of Kona Community Foundation has entered into an agreement, with the Hawaii County Parks and Recreation, in forming the Friends for Higashihara Park.

The goal of this partnership is to continue assisting with the landscaping needs, as well as coordinate and plan the replacement of the deteriorating wood, keeping the park safe for the patrons.

We are calling on businesses, non-profits, and private donors to help us with our fundraising efforts. 100% of all donations will be used for the Higashihara Park.
