Hello everyone - I hope you and your families are all doing well during these unique times.
First, I wanted to thank Frank and Jon and all the coaches for assembling and giving our boys a chance to play some baseball this fall. It was a good, competitive experience and wets our boy's appetite for this spring as they gear up for competitive WCAC baseball! Given the number of coaches, equipment, and sophisticated facilities the other WCAC programs have at their disposal, I wanted to resurrect our efforts to provide some tools for our Heights coaches to aid them in their efforts to improve our boys individual and team development, and thus competitiveness.
To that end, at last spring's baseball parents meeting, hosted and facilitated by Jon and all the coaches, Jon presented the collective coach's "wish list' for the program. They felt that the FungoMan machine would be priority one. In short, the Fungoman is an automated practice machine which will greatly aid the program for years to come.
The intent of this page is to ask for your help to raise the funds needed for this machine (about $15,000 new or when they become available, used/refurbished $10,000). The goal would be to raise the funds to order in time for the spring baseball season. This "ask" is completely independent of, and and above/beyond what you normally would provide in support of The Heights (via Crescite Fund, annual auction, etc.) which should continue to be a priority. However, if you enjoy watching our boys on the baseball field, and share the passion for their continued development, any small or large donation would be greatly appreciated.
