Support the Hanover Bears 2023 Football Season!

Dear friends of the Hanover football family,

The Hanover Bears football program needs your support this year!

On the heels of last season’s 6-3 campaign and appearance in the state quarterfinals, the Bears are once again off to a great start and can’t wait for our first home game!

While we have great aspirations for this season, we also are in need of your financial support. Though some needs are met by the high school, other costs, such as new uniforms, additional safety gear and equipment, game film software, and pre-game snacks for road games, are all provided by the Friends of Hanover Football. In addition, between this year and next season, half of the football program's state of the art Riddell Speedflex helmets will expire and must be replaced at a cost of $400 each.

As well as supporting the varsity and junior varsity teams, the Friends program also fully administers the local middle school football program. This program develops our future high school players and has its own needs for equipment, insurance, referees and more.

Between the high school and middle school programs, we will have nearly 70 football players participating this fall, which is a testament to the great coaching staff and supporting parents, guardians, and local community. Please consider supporting our program to ensure a successful season for our players!

We’ve established a fundraising goal this year of $15,000. Every dollar counts on the way to reaching our goal!

Typical examples of our program’s needs:

A $10 donation will purchase new helmet decals for one player;

A $20 donation will purchase replacement of helmet accessories for player safety;

A $50 donation will purchase replacement for knee and girdle pads for a player;

A $75 donation will purchase a new football;

A $150 donation will provide one scholarship for a middle school player;

A $400 donation will purchase a new helmet; and

A $1,000 donation will contribute about half the annual cost of a HUDL membership (game film and analytics software).
