Hi there, my name is Lauren, I am looking for some assistance in the care of my beautiful sweet cat Foster. Foster and I found each other almost 10 years ago. He was posted on an online pet rescue. Somebody had found him under a shed. He had the tips of his ears cut off and he had something applied to his face, that made it so one of his eyes had to be removed, and the other had a horrible ulcer on it that has affected his vision ever since. He was in terrible shape and he needed somebody to offer him a foster home. I looked at him once and knew that he was supposed to come and live with me. But I committed to the idea of him being a temporary guest. So instead of giving him a name, I simply called him Foster cat so I wouldn't become attached to him. It quickly became obvious that I wasn't going to give him to anybody else and that him and I found each other for a reason. His name simply became Foster Cat. He has been through a lot of trauma and a lot of awful situations. It's just in the last couple years that he's finally started to feel comfortable in his own home and allow people to pet him and love him. He's a happy sweet boy and I don't know where I would be without him. I often say that I know heaven exists because it's where he came from. In the last few months he has developed feline diabetes. He needs to be assessed and prescribed insulin so that we can prolong our time together. Unfortunately over the last year and a half, I have faced severe financial hardship due to unemployment and other situations. I believe he's getting to the point where if he doesn't have some sort of intervention I might start losing him and I can't bear the thought. So as much as my pride doesn't want me to, I am reaching out and asking for help to save my little angel. Anything that you are able to donate is already appreciated.
