On the night of January 23rd, our garage caught on fire. Thankfully, the damage to the house was minimal and no one was hurt. My mother and I live here, and although we can recover some stuff, a lot of things can never be replaced.

This comes at a huge cost, as we just lost my father 2 years ago and a lot of things he left me were kept there. Since his passing, I have been staying here with her, so the majority of all my personal belongings were stored in there along with my motorcycle.

We are currently working with insurance to see what we will be able to recoup, but the coverage on the exterior dwelling won't replace the building or things inside. The cost of a newly built garage is around $40,000 in today's building prices, so I'm praying that with the help of God and good-hearted people, we can reach this goal and get mom a new garage.
