Many of you remember Toby Town family member, Eevee the Corgi. Her story touched all of our hearts.

Born with a degenerative heart condition that stacked the odds against her, Eevee was nevertheless adopted by her brave, loving, mom, Monica.

Monica took Eevee into her family even knowing she was on a "short-term loan" and not expected to last long. Monica made the courageous decision to let Eevee have a full life for whatever days she had on this planet. Despite her obstacles, Eevee thrived. Her life was measured in moments, not days, and she lived each moment to the fullest. She outlived every life expectancy prediction for her.

Eevee was not defined by her limitations. Eevee was limitless.

Eevee loved daycare at Toby Town. She was made for it. She came in each day with a smile. She raced, she swam, she played with her countless friends, and zoomed around our yards with carefree joy. She had hugs for everyone and was always ready for a belly rub or soft lap when it was time for a rest.

Eevee's last moments were spent at Toby Town doing what she loved most. Because of that, we feel that she has left her joyous spirit with us to watch over our play yards and her friends forever.

In commemoration, Toby Town is having a mural of Eevee painted on the wall of her favorite play yard.

At Toby Town, we pride ourselves on our sense of family and community. This is why we wanted to open this up to all of you. So many of you reached out to us after Eevee passed over the Rainbow, wanting to know what you could do to support Monica during her time of grief.

So, in addition to this mural, we are going to have a plaque made in Eevee's honor. We would like this "Friends of Eevee" plaque to contain the names of all those who love and miss Eevee. We hope it will bring comfort to her family to know how many hearts Eevee touched, and that she will never be forgotten.

If you chose to donate, please leave the name (or names) in the comment section of who you would like listed on the plaque. Feel free to list Eevee's doggy friends as well. She had many.

If there is any money left after the mural and plaque, we will happily donate it, in Eevee's honor, to a charity of Monica's choice.
