On January 31, 2019 we lost our dear friend and very special lady, DeeDee Jordan. She was funny, witty, strong and real. DeeDee was a true "people person" who put a smile on your face with every interaction whether you knew her or not. She was also one tough cookie who brought up two boys who are now strong young men. She was so proud of them both and told us stories as they grew up. As Nana, she helped to raise her beautiful grandchildren who brought her so much joy. She was the pillar of her family taking charge of managing the family during challenging times as well as in celebration.
DeeDee brought joy to those she worked with and she was proud to be a part of Westin, Starwood & Marriott. Those who were privileged to work with her knew that she did her best, each & every time, and she wanted to get things done just right. She always brought her smile and sense of humor regardless of circumstances. When she got worked up about something, she came out swinging... but not for long, and it usually ended in a good laugh. I loved that about her! After working together for 25 years, I realized that I talked to her more than I did with much of my own family. I miss her already.
DeeDee’s sudden and unexpected death shocked and saddened us all. We are all still in disbelief, none more so than her two sons, her granddaughter and grandson. Speaking with her son, I know that they remain incredibly strong and the love embracing them will pull them through this most difficult time. Like many others, I want to support DeeDee’s family in any way possible. In addition to your thoughts and prayers, I ask that those who have memories of this great lady in their hearts please join me to help her family in defraying any funeral costs and for any needs they might have. I know your generous and heartfelt donations would be appreciated.
She left us way too soon, but I am feeling very privileged to say I’m a Friend of DeeDee Jordan.
