Let's all come together to support the man who has always been there for us.

Moving to Johnstown, Ohio in sixth grade, Dan McLaughlin has spent much of his time loving on our community. He has also touched the lives of many beyond Johnstown. To some of us, he's "Dano". To others, he is "Dan The Man" or "Pastor Dan". To all of us...he's been a faithful friend who has spent his life caring for and supporting others, especially when they are in need. Dan is also a loving husband, father, and 'Papa' to his grandbabies.

As most of you know, Dan has struggled with Diabetes for many years. Four years ago, Dan's left leg was amputated below the knee. He has spent the last few years diligently working with his prosthesis, despite a few setbacks along the way. Dan's motto is "Just Keep Going". He's had to remind himself of this motto many times while getting used to life without his foot. Eventually, Dan was upright and walking and recently started to drive again--certainly an uplifting moment in time and a lot of work to get there.

In January of this year (2023), Dan, unfortunately, got an infection that required the painful decision to take his right leg above the knee. Do you know what his motto is now? As difficult as it is to go through this process again and life is going to be another level of 'different', Dan's motto is still "Just Keep Going".

Most of us can't even imagine what it's like to face this next challenge Dan and Larami have ahead of them. There are medical bills to pay and costs to rehab sections of their home to accommodate Dan's new physical challenges getting around the house. They also need to buy a wheelchair-accessible vehicle.
