Friends of Daniel Van Roo – Cancer Fundraiser
Donation protected
Most of Daniel's friends think he is in 'remission' - but over the past few weeks, he has had further testing that has revealed that he is suffering from an extremely rare lymphoma that has rejected his chemotherapy to date.
This means that his next line of chemotherapy needs to be significantly stronger than the first. It will be palliative treatment and care.
Don't panic - we're not going to lose him just yet! But there is no cure and so the best that can be hoped for is alleviating symptoms.
Add to this that he has the (also extremely rare) 'non-curable' variety of lymphoma and this places him in a category of people who will more than likely spend the rest of their life in treatment.
As a result of his stronger treatment, his life expectancy has again been considerably reduced.
His doctors have told him that he will most likely not be able to work in the future. This chemotherapy will be much more frequent and stronger, beginning with treatment every second day for the first month, with additional chemotherapy in the following months.
DANIEL HAS NEVER AND WILL NEVER ASK FOR HELP. THAT'S ONE OF THE REASONS WHY WE ALL LOVE HIM SO MUCH.
It's time to ignore his 'no help please' concern and rally around him. He will need the usual living expenses - rent, food, utilities, travel to and from treatment etc.
We will add more information regarding the medical details of his type of cancer - Non-Hodgkins Follicular Lymphoma - but in the meantime, we would like to start raising funds for him to not worry about paying rent and bills.
So, friends of Daniel Van Roo, please rally together to take the added stress regarding finances off his shoulders.
You know, he would do the same for you. Xxx
