Hi, my name is José Andrés Girón and I'm fundraising to create and publish a series of inspirational bi-lingual coffee table art books. The first book will be about my artistic journey with over a hundred and fifty full-color reproductions of original paintings selected from my archives of artwork. The first book is entitled " A CHICANO ARTIST AMERICA SHOULD KNOW ABOUT". The other books will feature the narratives and artwork of Chicano artists I know personally from California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. I want to share 40-plus years of my art and also acknowledge and share the incredible achievements of my fellow Chicano artists who have contributed to the cultural identity of Chicano art in America. The preceding books are entitled "CHICANO ARTISTS AMERICA SHOULD KNOW ABOUT"

There are other inspiring Chicano artists that I have not met but would like to include in these follow-up books. Featuring other Chicano artists writing their narratives, will be an exceptional addition to the legacy of the artistic contributions made by the Latinx community about the past, the significance of our present and the goals of our future.

I am also fundraising to provide mentoring opportunities, lectures, art classes, workshops and exhibitions opportunities for young art students to learn from professional Chicano artists featured in these published coffee table books.

Making this happen takes money. The money raised through this GoFundMe goes into my newly formed non-profit entitled "El Arte De America LLC".
