On June 7, Central Taekwondo in Hunt Valley suffered a painful loss, as the studio burned down due to a fire in an adjacent store. While we are thankful that no one was injured in the fire, we are saddened because the damage was a total loss, and it is very uncertain that Central will be able to recoup damages or receive compensation.

What is certain is that the foreseeable future will be very challenging for Master Kyungsik Park and his family. This is an opportunity for the Central Taekwondo community of present and past to rally together in support of Master Park, who has touched so many lives during his 29 years practicing and teaching Taekwondo. Whether you are someone who directly has been impacted by him or are here through a friend, your contributions will help Master Kyungsik Park and his family to get through these difficult months, with hopes that Central Taekwondo can be reestablished in a speedy manner.

The two priorities that we have identified are:

1. Funds for Master Park for personal expenses and business needs.

2. A rent-free space that can be used to continue teaching until a permanent space is available.

On behalf of the Park family and Central Taekwondo, we thank you in advance for your love and support!
