The Friends of Berkeley Law Staff fund seeks to provide emergency assistance to our colleagues hardest hit by COVID-19.
As Senior Assistant Dean and Chief Administrative Officer of the University of California Berkeley School of Law, I am working with two staff members to distribute privately raised financial support to our colleagues faced with unmet food, medical, and housing needs. The three of us constituting the disbursement committee welcome requests for modest grants generally in the range of $500. Requests (from current Berkeley Law staff only) should be made via email to the account circulated by "Berkeley Law Casual" stating the nature of the COVID-19 related emergency and the funding assistance requested. Grants will be distributed via Venmo.
This is not a formal charity and there are no tax receipts--we are simply passing the hat electronically in order to help our friends who need it most.
