This page had started out as a call for support. With heaviness in my heart and complete devastation, our beloved Uncle Mike Shafrin has been called home by our Creator to serve as an Angel.

There was a saying that Michael, "Uncle Mike" Shafrin always used to say... "There are three things you don't mess with...don't mess with my wife, don't mess with my food, and don't mess with my family." Michael was all about his family, his Brady Bunch family, his extended family, and even your average person in daily interactions, somehow became family.
This was the heart of Michael E. Shafrin...he saw the best in everyone and they just...became family. He would give you the shirt off his back.
He happily opened his home to family and friends. If he or his family had ever been there for you, or as Michael and Nancy have done for me personally when I needed them most, you know they would NEVER ask for anything in return. That's who they are.
But I am asking instead, that if Uncle Mike and his family ever needed your support, the time is NOW. Won't you show your generous support, and donate what is in your heart, and SHARE SHARE SHARE this page far and wide, so far that Uncle Mike will feel your love from Above?
We have lost one of the good ones, and tonight the stars shine brighter with Michael up above looking down on his beloved friends and family. Thank you for your kind consideration, generous support, and assistance in sharing this site. Any questions can be sent via text only to Leticia, [phone redacted], and I will forward it to Nancy, so as not to overwhelm her in this terribly sad time.
He loved his job so much, so proud of working for the city of Passaic. Loyalty.
Words cannot express the love he had for Passaic, and all its people. Dedication.
Proud, loyal, faithful, and always ethical civil servant. Service.
He loved the Uniform and serving the city of Passaic. Proud.
Family is everything! L.O.V.E.
Exemplary husband, father, son-in-law, brother, Uncle, and friend to all. Please remember & honor this King among Men. Rest in eternal slumber, our beloved Michael.
