Friends, I Need Some Help During Cancer Treatment

Dear friends,
While I may have seemed OK for quite some time, I was most recently diagnosed with a very highly aggressive form of prostate cancer. It's the kind that requires equally aggressive treatment and I have begun that process. (Get your check-ups!).
Part of my treatment includes Androgen Deprivation Therapy (ADT) later to be followed by radiation treatment. While it's necessary, it comes with some difficult side effects - significant fatigue, muscle mass loss, and decreased bone density. In simple terms, it has taken a real toll on my strength and stamina.
Because of this, I've had to step down from my full-time job as assistant manager at Planet Fitness becoming part time. As much as I wanted to push through and maintain my regular schedule until camp, I simply no longer have the physical endurance to handle the demands and stress of a full-time management role. This change has resulted in a significant reduction in both my hours and pay.
Most of you know me well enough to know that I've never been in this line of work for the money. At heart, I am just a summer camp counselor – grateful and by choice - and I've always lived pretty much paycheck to paycheck. I've never minded that lifestyle, but this diagnosis and the sudden cut in income have made this especially challenging.
So, I'm asking for help to get through the next couple of months while I focus on treatment and recovery just before I return to Kabeyun where I anticipate being fully engaged. Any support whether financial or simply sharing this page would mean more than I can fully express.
Please know that your kindness, support and encouragement are deeply appreciated with sincere gratitude…
With thanks and love,
Jeff
